Combat Forge is a Encounter Creator inside FoundryVTT, which has the usual features of an encounter builder (e.g. Filters, UI showing difficulty, etc), but is also capable of looking at the party, their level, class, and resources (HP, spellslots, etc.) and based on that, gives an accurate adjusted difficulty rating, so a DM always knows the actual difficulty of an encounter based on their party's current state.

It also allows users to create & save encounters directly inside the module, specifcally The Vault, where they can view, deploy, and edit the created encounter very easily.

Module Features:

  • Dynamic Difficulty System: Calculates the difficulty of a fight based on the party's current state, such as HP, remaining spell slots, class, level, etc and adjusts the shown difficulty rating based on this

  • Flexible Rule Settings: Supports 2014 & 2024 rulesets, as well as official DMC rules & Adjusted rules for Swarms

  • Smart Encounter Generator: Generate encounters by Difficulty or CR, and choose the monster type, size, environment, or book to generate a encounter

  • Seamless In-App Encounter Creation & Deployment: Automatically place monsters from encounters into your scene seamlessly

  • Saving & Loading Encounters: Create encounters in 'The Forge' and save them in 'The Vault' to view, deploy, or edit later on again

  • Viewing & Editing Saved Encounters: Examine and edit any encounter saved in the Vault so you can tweak previously created encounters, and know who and what is fighting in them

  • Works with ANY Compendiums: Works with any Actor compendium in your world. Simply create it, add your monsters into it, and set it so the module uses that compendium as its source for monsters
