Cursed Energy replaces the classic spell slot mechanic with a unified energy pool inspired by Jujutsu Kaisen.
All spellcasting classes now draw from Cursed Energy (CE) instead of slots, creating a single, flexible resource that grows with level and caster type.

✨ Current Features

  • Unified CE Pool
Every caster has a maximum CE value based on level and caster category (full, half, third, misc).
Slots are no longer consumed — everything runs on CE.

  • Automatic Costing
Each spell consumes CE depending on its level (configurable curve). Rituals and cantrips can also have custom multipliers.

  • UI Integration

    • Compact badge in the actor header (CE value/max, increment/decrement, category switch).

    • Large bar under Hit Dice/Resources.

    • Tooltips on spells show CE cost.

    • Visual dimming for spells you cannot afford.

  • Migration Tool
One-click button to populate CE on all actors, hide slots, and enforce CE usage globally.

  • Rest Recovery

    • Long Rest: restores full CE.

    • Short Rest: restores a fraction (25% default, 50% for warlock-like casters).

  • Customization & Overrides

    • JSON configs for cost curves and class → category mapping.

    • Per-spell CE cost overrides.

    • Actor-specific caster category overrides.

    • Option to hide slots globally or per-actor.

    • /ea chat command for manual control (+5, -10%, set 30, max, etc.).

  • Playground (Simulator)
A separate window to experiment with levels, categories, recovery fractions and see CE tables.
Can apply results directly to selected actors.

📌 Planned Updates

  • “Black Fist” mechanic — a unique feature inspired by Jujutsu Kaisen, interacting with CE flow.

  • New spells/feats directly adapted from the series.

  • Progression bonuses — systems that grant extra CE or special points per level.

  • Additional features to complement the core system (unique items, passive traits, CE-enhanced abilities).

  • Deeper integration with popular sheets and automation modules (e.g. Tidy5e, DFreds, Token Action HUD).
