Purchase the Pathfinder Beginner Box

Paizo (Bundle)
Ulisses Spiele

In addition to the Pathfinder Beginner Box module, the bundle from Paizo comes with a copy of the Beginner Box PDF, which should automatically be added to your cart on checkout. If you already own the PDF, you can buy the module by itself at a discounted price here.

Purchasing the module from Ulisses Spiele does not provide a copy of the PDF. Regardless of where it is purchased, the module will support importing content into Foundry VTT in both English and German.

Features

The Beginner Box for Foundry VTT includes all rules content and journals from the PDF, as well as original sections designed from the ground up to guide and instruct users on how best to experience Pathfinder Second Edition and learn Foundry VTT features at the same time. Whether you are a veteran GM introducing your players to Pathfinder Second Edition for the first time, or a newcomer just starting out with tabletop RPGs, the Beginner Box is for you.

The Pathfinder Beginner Box for Foundry VTT includes:

  • High-resolution character artwork and unique monster tokens for 56 Pathfinder bestiary creatures, 36 heroic characters, and 13 non-player characters.
  • High-resolution, upscaled versions of the original maps.
  • Two exclusive, highly detailed and immersive adventure maps with support for Foundry Virtual Tabletop's Overhead Tiles and Foreground Layer features, re-created by Narchy Maps using assets from Forgotten Adventures.

Installation and Activation

Activating the Module

Purchasing this product from Paizo or Ulisses Spiele will grant you an activation code which can be used on your Foundry VTT account page to activate the content for installation.

When the product code has been activated on your Foundry VTT account, you will be able to install the Pathfinder Beginner Box module from the Foundry Virtual Tabletop setup screen.

After installing the module, it must be activated within a Game World. To do so:

  • Access the Settings Sidebar tab
  • Click "Manage Modules"
  • Locate the "Pathfinder Beginner Box" Module, enable it, and save module settings.
Importing Module Contents

After activation it should present you with the opened compendium, allowing you to choose which pieces of content you would like to import. Each importer has its own functions, so you can further tailor the module's content to meet your expectations. For example: the "Use Beginner Box Monsters" toggle on the Menace Under Otari import allows you to choose whether you prefer to use the simplified creature statistics from the beginner box, or the more complex stat-blocks native to the broader Pathfinder Second Edition bestiary.

Language Support

To benefit from the German localisation, take the following steps before importing the module contents as outlined above:

  • Set your preferred language in the Core settings of your world
  • Ensure that you install and enable the corresponding localisation package and its dependencies. For instance, the German translation is available here.

Definitely worth the entry fee!!!
Thank you for all the hard work & updating so soon after both FoundryVTT and the Foundry Pathfinder System is being updated.

I look forward to running the Menace Under Otari soon & often.

One question:

  1. Is there somewhere to reference the original configuration for the locations?

Specifically, the GRID tab for both the Landing and Otari.

  • Things are NOT the way I found them
  • Haven’t mucked about with Floor 01 NOR Floor 02.
