For the people of Tonwindale, war with the orcs of the Ember Hills has been a way of life for decades. Now, rumors surrounding an ancient relic have sparked hope that the orcs can be defeated. All that remains is finding and securing the other half of the relic. Unfortunately, these rumors have spread and it's likely the orcs are trying to locate the object as well to keep it out of the hands of Tonwindale.
The Crown of Authority, however, is not what Tonwindale's leaders believe it to be. The artifact is actually the key to a magical prison where a powerful demon has been trapped for ages. Can the warring orcs and humans be convinced to band together to defeat this demonic menace? Or, will thier conflict get the best of them and allow chaos to wash over the land?
This short adventure is designed for three to seven 5th-level characters and features social interaction, exploration, and combat. Scaling options are provided for weaker or stonger parties.
The adventure is written using the 5E and PF2 basic rules, but also features a custom demon stat block.
