Quick Introduction

A Fate Core / Condensed / FAE  full character card that actually lands on your gaming table. No modal windows, no complex forms, no messy Actors to manage. Always visible and neatly automated. Suits both Player Characters and Non-Player Characters.

Requires Whiteboard Experience 0.9.1 or newer.

Why This Exists

I used to prep Fate tables in Miro / Figma: type a character's skills and aspects as plain text, drop a picture next to them, done. Character sheets always felt bulky.

This card keeps that approach and adds the bits your table actually needs: dice, stress and consequence boxes, skill presets, and a few tabs for consequences, stunts, extras and notes.

Features

  • Click the die next to a skill to roll 4dF + skill to chat (Dice So Nice works)
  • Stress and consequence boxes: up to three rows of up to eight, any numbers, grey or red frames
  • Skill templates: FAE approaches, the Core pyramid, all 18 Core skills
  • Portrait from a file, a pasted screenshot or drag and drop; pan, zoom and frame shape
  • Seven colour themes plus your own colours; English or Russian labels
  • Double-click any line to fix it without entering edit mode
  • NPC cards: players can only look, the GM can hide single skills or aspects
  • While someone edits a card, it is locked for everybody else

Creating a Card

The GM creates cards with the card button on the WBE toolbar.

Filling It From Scratch

Select the card and press Edit. Enter adds a line, Backspace on an empty line removes it, ↑/↓ changes a skill value, Esc leaves edit mode.

Known Issues

  • If someone drags a card at the same moment another player marks a box on it, the mark can be lost. Mark it again.
  • Hiding fields from players is for convenience, not secrecy: the hidden text still reaches every player's browser.
