Create interactive puzzles, traps, and environmental elements in seconds with intuitive point-and-click tools. Built as a companion to Monk's Active Tiles, EM Tile Utilities provides ready-to-use templates for the most common interactive elements game masters need—no complex configuration required.
Toggle switches with visual and audio feedback. Track ON/OFF states with scene variables, connect to doors, lights, traps, or any other tiles. Perfect for puzzle sequences, secret passages, and combination locks.
Create toggleable torches, lanterns, and magical lights with actual light sources and proper shadows. Choose between manual control (double-click to activate) or automatic darkness-based activation. Customize colors, brightness, and light radius for any atmosphere.
Disappearing Traps: Vanish after triggering—perfect for pit traps and collapsing floors
Switching Traps: Change appearance when activated—pressure plates and tripwires
Activating Traps: Trigger chain reactions—arrow volleys, slamming doors, poison gas
Combat Traps: Attack with weapons or features from your compendium—blade traps, dart launchers, animated guardians
All traps support damage with saving throws, teleportation, status effects, and trigger limits. Combat traps feature drag-and-drop item integration, customizable token visibility, and optional positioning.
Restore complex puzzle rooms with one click. Reset tile positions, rotations, visibility, switch states, tracked variables, door states, and trigger history. Save hours of setup time between sessions.
Variables Viewer: Real-time display of all puzzle variables and their current values
Tile Manager: Browse all interactive tiles with thumbnails, search, sort, and quick edit/delete
All tools accessible directly from the Tiles layer toolbar. Click, configure, and create—it's that simple.
Check State Tiles: Advanced state machines that monitor variables and execute conditional branches based on logic rules. Enable in module settings to access.
Requirements: Monk's Active Tiles v13.0+, Monk's Token Bar v13.0+
