Toolful Choice - Tool Ability Selector

What does this module do?

It replaces the default tool check roll with an ability selection dialog. Instead of always rolling with the tool's preset ability, players can choose between all six ability scores (STR, DEX, CON, INT, WIS, CHA).

Does it work for all tool types?

Yes. It works for all items classified as tools in dnd5e, including artisan's tools, gaming sets, musical instruments, and any other tool type.

Are proficiencies and bonuses preserved?

Yes. Tool proficiency, feats, expertise, and all other bonuses are fully applied to the roll regardless of which ability is selected.

Does it support advantage and disadvantage?

Yes. Hold the configured modifier key while clicking an ability button. The key hints are displayed in the dialog.

What modules is it compatible with?

Tested and compatible with MidiQOL and Argon Combat HUD (DnD5e). Any module using the standard dnd5e roll pipeline should work.
