Rotate Camera 8D adds smooth 45° camera rotation to Foundry VTT (v13+).
Players can rotate their view using configurable keys (default: Q / E), while movement keys (WASD) automatically reorient to match the camera’s current angle.
The rotation is smooth, continuous, and preserves movement flow even when turning mid-motion.
Lightweight and client-side, it works seamlessly alongside Follow The Token and integrates cleanly with Foundry’s default movement system.
Features:
45° incremental camera rotation (default Q / E)
Full 8-direction WASD remapping
Smooth, continuous movement even while rotating
Fully compatible with default Foundry controls
Lightweight and non-intrusive
Notes:
The default Q / E bindings may overlap with other modules, but they can be freely remapped in Game Settings → Configure Controls.
Foundry’s grid layer does not rotate with the canvas. When rotating the camera, the grid may appear misaligned or invisible.
