A new Modular Map, but this time it's a little different. It's the first time that a Modular Map comes with a Creature, and for a good reason.
Not only the Porcelain Widow will chase you in her manor, but also the Dolls from the previous release: The Dollhouse. All rooms change as you explore the building, making the manor behave like a maze. That's why we made the mansion modular. You know, Halloween is just an excuse to do cool stuff like this.
All rooms have the same size and doors to make it completely modular.
It can also be combined with Modular Building to expand your creations.
Two walls assets, one of them with a window, are also included for you to close paths.
In Foundry, all tiles are preconfigured and ready-to-play as always. There is a macro you can use to clean walls once the construction is done. Take a look at the Modular Building guide.
If you want to make rooms shift and switch in Foundry mid-game, then we recommend using the Token Attacher "Purge" macro to delete all Token Attacher references and then move the tiles with the Tile Tool in the left panel (this will not move lights).
And it is completely compatible with the Procedural Generator!
A couple just hired you to investigate a haunted mansion. Children are disappearing, and they suspect a madwoman is responsible.
A Modular Mansion with shifting rooms is home to a reclusive woman. Broken by grief and convinced her husband murdered her daughter years ago, she kidnaps children to sacrifice their souls in rituals, attempting to transfer them into her collection of porcelain dolls.
Inside the mansion, you find a dollhouse in a girl's room, which pulls you in, shrinking you to a tiny size. To escape this miniature world, you confront an army of evil porcelain dolls. Only by defeating them and solving the house's puzzle can you return to the mansion. Find the actual Dollhouse Battlemap here.
The mansion is inhabited by ghosts, who are one half of the sacrificed children's souls. The other half is trapped within the porcelain dolls. To free the children and bring them peace, the heroes must find a way to reunite both parts of their souls.
In the climax, the heroes interrupt a ritual and confront the woman, now transformed into the "Porcelain Widow", a monstrous, spider-like creature made of porcelain doll parts and a mask stitched to her face. She will follow you through the manor, full of silk webs, while rooms change position, making it impossible to backtrack your own steps.
After defeating her, the heroes find her study and discover the truth among divorce papers. The woman was not a widow, she had simply been driven mad by the separation. The papers are signed only by her ex-husband in ink, and by her in blood.
The person who hired them is the daughter, who is alive, as is her father. Her commission was a desperate attempt to stop her mother's madness.
