Stylish Relationship Tracker

Give your table's relationships a screen of their own.

Stylish Relationship Tracker adds a full-screen, JRPG-style social link archive to Foundry VTT. Every character keeps their own roster of bonds, and each bond has a rank, a portrait, a bio, stat cards, an event log, and dossier notes. Deepen a bond to trigger a rank-up cut-in, give an item and watch the character react, then browse the whole web of connections as a constellation map.

It is system-agnostic: relationship data lives on each Actor, so the archive works the same in any game system. Six built-in visual themes and a GM manager handle the presentation and the authoring, and it installs alongside the free GlitchSmith Library.

Key Features

The Relationship Archive

  • Full-screen archive: A fixed-canvas relationship screen that scales to fit your window instead of a default sheet. Each Actor opens their own themed archive of the characters they are bonded to.

  • Bond roster: The character's bonds are listed down the side with their current rank, ready to page through one at a time.

  • Character record: Each bond shows a portrait with scale and offset controls, a display name and role, a relationship type, an accent color, and a short bio.

  • Stat cards: Add up to three custom stat cards per bond, such as First Met, Last Interact, or Affinity, with an optional accent highlight.

  • Two views: Switch between the Archive view for a single detailed record and the Map view for the full constellation of connections.

  • Multiple entry points: Open the archive from the heart icon in the scene controls, from buttons added to Actor sheet headers, or through the module API.

Ranks, Bonds, and Cut-ins

  • Rank and progress: Every bond has a rank, a max rank, and bond progress that fills toward the next rank, with a configurable number of steps per rank.

  • Deepen and lower: Raise or lower a bond directly from the archive or the GM manager.

  • Rank cut-ins: Rank-up, rank-down, unlock, and bond-complete moments play as full-screen cut-in overlays with sound.

  • Locked bonds: Keep a relationship locked until a condition is met, such as a total rank threshold or a specific bond reaching a set rank.

  • Redacted entries: Locked bonds can be hidden from players entirely or shown as redacted placeholders that hint a secret is there.

Events, Recollections, and Notes

  • Event log per bond: Record a timeline of scenes for each relationship, with a date label, title, rank label, quote, and recollection text.

  • Scene recall: Click an event to reopen it as a full recollection card with its own image, scaled and positioned to taste.

  • Rank-up events: Flag the events that mark a rank-up so the important scenes stand out.

  • Full event log: Open a single overlay that lists every recorded scene for a bond.

  • Dossier notes: Write rich-text notes that keep their links and formatting, each shown as its own tab in the bond's dossier.

  • Per-note visibility: Mark a note player-visible for anyone who can see the bond, or keep it GM-only.

Constellation Map

  • Relationship network: View a character and everyone they are bonded to as a node map, with the selected character at the center.

  • Line weight shows rank: Stronger bonds draw heavier links, so the map reads at a glance.

  • Focus and travel: Center the map on any character, follow their bonds outward, and jump back to where you started.

  • Zoom controls: Zoom in, zoom out, and reset the view.

  • Range and caps: Choose direct bonds only, an expanded network, or the full network, with limits on depth and node count and optional generated node thumbnails.

The Gift System

  • Give items as gifts: Hand an item from one Actor to a bond and watch how the character responds.

  • Reaction tiers: Favorite, Liked, Neutral, Disliked, and Rejected, each with its own bond progress and its own presentation.

  • Gift Profiles: GM-authored rules decide the reaction, the progress gained, and whether the gift is consumed. A profile can be shared across every bond that points at an Actor, or overridden per relationship.

  • Match rules and stages: React to a gift by item name, type, tag, UUID, or source item, and vary the rules by rank stage.

  • Taste reveal levels: Keep a character's preferences hidden, drop a weak hint, or fully reveal them so players can learn what a character likes.

  • Reaction presentation: Show a reaction as a dialog or a full cut-in, with a custom line, image, and sound per reaction, and choose who sees it.

  • Consumption control: Consume or keep gifts, cap the quantity per gift, decide how rejected gifts are handled, and allow or block gifts at max rank.

  • GM test run: Fire any gift against the saved profile from the manager to confirm the result before players ever use it.

Themes, Sound, and Presentation

  • Six built-in themes: Archive, Dossier (Paper), Journal, Arcane Grimoire, Stellar Link, and Adventurer's Ledger.

  • Full restyle per theme: Each theme rebuilds typography, color, frames, motion, and interface sound, not just a recolor.

  • Per-bond accent color: Every relationship carries its own accent, and it flows through whichever theme is active.

  • Bundled sound effects: Interface and cut-in sounds ship with the module and are tuned to match each theme's mood, with world volume and on/off settings.

  • Custom sounds: Replace any theme action's sound with your own file through Foundry's file picker, stored per world.

  • Reduced motion: Themes respect the system reduce-motion setting and drop their idle and transition animation when it is on.

GM Manager and Access Control

  • Relationship data console: A dedicated GM screen authors every bond without opening a character sheet.

  • Drag-and-drop linking: Drop an Actor to set the owner, then drop another to link it as a bond's target.

  • Full bond editor: Set type, rank, portrait, bio, stat cards, visibility, unlock rules, map visibility, notes, and the gift profile for each bond.

  • Presets: Save a bond as a reusable preset, optionally including its event log, and build new relationships from it later.

  • Per-Actor display settings: Adjust the archive title, labels, font scale, relationship slots, and map behavior for each character.

  • Player editing gates: Keep authoring GM-only, or let players edit bonds for Actors they own down to a minimum user role and Actor permission.

  • Per-bond visibility: Mark each bond visible to players, owner only, or GM only.

  • Multiplayer sync: Player changes are handled by the GM over sockets, and open archive and manager screens update live when data changes.

Technical Specifications

  • Required module: GlitchSmith Library (free) — provides update notifications and shared services for the GlitchSmith module suite.
