A chase through the jungle came to an abrupt end when facing a broken rope bridge.

A dextrous and quick jungle denizen slipped through the party's fingers. They chased him on his home turf, as he carried vital information of that elusive shaman's whereabouts. As if mosquitoes, vines, barbed plants that leave the eternal itch, and danger on every step weren't enough, the bridge collapsed. The young man grinned at them from the other side and waved. As he was to run away, something dark emerged from the gorge, pulling him down. His scream echoed long after he was gone, as the dreaded silence fell. His pouch fell from his belt, on the other side. Between the party and the pouch is a broken bridge - and whatever lurks below.
