A collection of arid wildland maps, from mountain ranges to geyser pools, canyons, and tar pits. Welcome to the Badlands theme from The MAD Cartographer!

Maps in this Product

• ➤ Geyser Plateau: Rocky outcrops with superheated water creating an oasis, warm mineral pools, and scaling options.
• ➤ Canyon Camp: Long ravine with a natural rock bridge, small outpost, and a functional elevator.
• ➤ Destroyed Caravan: Ruined caravan with shattered wagons, slain horses, scattered cargo, and burning bodies.
• ➤ Mystery Canyon: Serpentine canyon with a shallow stream, sandstone walls, and a sage’s hidden encampment.
• ➤ Broken Chains: Canyon with shattered manacles, a blood rune, and looming cliff faces; dark purpose unclear.
• ➤ Death Pit: Vast tar pit with preserved mammoth remains, traversable bones.
• ➤ The Gorge: Badlands canyon with multiple variants including bridges, rivers, and canyon crossings.
• ➤ Meat Market: Bluff with huts, animal pens, slaughterhouse, and potential for rescuing captured animals.
• ➤ Old Mines: Abandoned cavern with unreliable minecart rails, treacherous scaffolds, and clusters of rare gems.

All maps contain walling, dynamic lighting, local sounds, and canopies where relevant to a map. Many of our map packs contain third-party modules to add additional tactics and dynamic play, these include:

Levels allows instant transitions between floors, or moving your token on top of canopies, creating vertical elevation on a map!

Mass Edit allows drag-and-drop pre-fab buildings and modular dungeons, as well as helping create dynamic environment changes!

Tile Scroll lets us create moving tiles and canopies, adding scrolling or rotation to static images to create more dynamic animated maps!
