Kexborn Connections

Kexborn Connections is a system-agnostic module for Foundry VTT that adds interactive tools for visualizing character relationships, creating family trees, mapping factions, and maintaining rating tables (leaderboards).

The module is completely universal and not tied to any specific game system, making it a perfect fit for your D&D, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk, Vampire: The Masquerade campaigns, or any other ruleset.

KEY FEATURES

The Actors directory is enhanced with the following functionality:

🕸️ Connection Board (Board)

Create complex investigation boards (mind maps), family trees, or organizational structures on an infinite canvas:

• Drag-and-Drop: Simply drag and drop Actors, Items, and Journals directly from the sidebar onto the board. The module will automatically assign them icons and create nodes.

• Flexible Connections: Link elements using various line styles (solid, double, dashed, chain, wavy, or strict orthogonal for trees) and choose their colors.

• Text Labels: Add text labels directly on top of the connection lines to clarify the nature of relationships between characters.

• Custom Nodes and Shapes: Draw color zones (for faction grouping), add empty nodes for undiscovered connections, or create "Records"—special text document pins right inside the board.

• Character Statuses: Mark a character's status (dead, unknown, crossed out, or verified) with a single click, which applies a corresponding visual filter to their portrait.

🏆 Rating Tables

A tool for tracking competitions, party reputation in guilds, or tournament standings:

• Automatic Sorting: Add characters via drag-and-drop. The module automatically sorts them and assigns placements (Ranks) based on the points earned.

• Customizable Metrics: You can rename the points column to "Glory," "Power," "Rating," or any other term that fits your game.

• Notes System: You can add a short note (visible in the row) and a long description for each participant, conveniently readable via a global tooltip.

Simply drag entities (Actors, Items, Journals) onto the opened sheet and create your story!

🎨 Customizable Themes

The module allows you to choose a visual style for the connection windows via a dedicated dropdown menu. It includes built-in presets for various game settings:

• Classic and Universal (available in light and dark variants).

• Dark Fantasy.

• Sci-Fi (with a choice of several color accents).
