Nestled against the looming castle gates, Ashwick Crossing is a lively artisan quarter where cobbled lanes wind past cozy cabins, seamstresses’ shops, the clang of the blacksmith’s forge, and stalls brimming with fresh produce and glittering jewelry. Merchants call out, children weave between carts, and the air smells of bread, leather, and iron. But when the sun dips behind the walls, the marketplace empties. Doors are barred, shutters drawn, and not a soul dares to tread the streets. Whispers tell of a presence that stirs in the dark—something unseen yet always watching.
