The Leap

Welcome to The Leap! This 40x30 map features a coastal cliffside overlooking the ocean 100 feet below. In the nearby coastal city, it is tradition that when someone loses a loved one at sea, they climb the wooden ladders and ascend the cliffs to the top. On their way, there is a small shrine where they can leave a memento of their loved one and light a candle before furthering up the cliffs. 

Once they have climbed to the top, they ring the ship bell to let others know that someone is about to take "The Leap" and plunge into the ocean below. This is mostly safe as rocks off the coast help break most of the waves, but it's not without its dangers. 

This map is perfect to add a little local custom, ghost stories, pirate operations, or attacking sea monsters! 

Additionally, I created an "Empty" version which removes all the wood, benches, braziers, and shrine so you can use this as a generic cliff map. 

Map Features

This map features:

• Connected ladders and bridges allow for multi-level combat.

• An immersive storytelling scene that focuses on local customs.

• An empty version of the map so you can run this as a generic cliff map.

• Static weather options that allow you to add rain, fog, and sun ray weather options to the map.

• Optional "Levels" install via the compendium, which allows your tokens to pass both under and over the bridge between the cliff faces for maximum immersion.

Color Moods & Variants

Set the perfect vibe for your table with six color moods, each with a matching “No Lights” version:

• Warm

• Ghostly

• Dark Fairytale

• Night

• Sunny Day 

• Gloom

All toggled via the custom UI, allowing you to shift moods & lighting with ease.
