Uncontrolled sorrow can master the strongest of hearts, and Lady of Lamentation is a tribute to the corruptive power of unresolved trauma and despair. A frontier village is in need of help, and the source of their troubles drags the adventurers into a twisted web of tragedy that spans centuries.

Change the outcome of battle by roleplaying your character! The Resonance mechanic lends itself to cathartic moments, where you defeat adversaries by overcoming your own mental barriers and finding strength within yourselves. By acting in ways that align with or disturb the spirit's core emotion, you can empower or diminish it respectively. Empowered spirits get new special moves in their stat block (all automatic within Foundry!), while weakened spirits gain temporary weaknesses that can be seized by the characters to finish them off.
