See any weapon, spell or skill action’s range on the canvas: penalty bands, reach, and a distance badge on every token.

Range Finder answers the question every table asks a dozen times a session: “Can I hit them from here?” Click the 📏 next to a strike, spell or skill action and its range appears around your token, before you move or act.

How it works

  • Click 📏 to pin a range: penalty bands with labels (30 ft · 60 ft –2 · …), reach, volley zones, and a badge on every visible token showing its distance and whether you can reach it (✓, the penalty, or ✗).
  • Hold Alt over a row or the 📏 to preview a range, and release to clear it.
  • Shift+click to show your range to everyone at the table, drawn in your player color.
  • It gets out of the way: the sheet or HUD you clicked from fades and lets clicks through, so you can drag your token and watch the range follow.
  • Esc clears your ranges. GMs get a tool to clear everyone’s shared ranges.

Built-in system support

  • Pathfinder 2e & Starfinder 2e: range increments and their penalties, reach (including the 10 ft diagonal rule), thrown and volley weapons, and spells (including scrolls, wands and staves). It also covers skill actions (Demoralize, Trip, Grapple, Treat Wounds, …), feat actions such as Bon Mot or Scare to Death, and boosts the system doesn’t apply itself. For example, Reach Spell appears as an extra band showing who you can reach only with it. Works with PF2e HUD: sidebars, shortcuts and the skills list.
  • D&D 5e: normal and long range (Disadv.), reach, thrown weapons, touch and self-area spells.
  • Daggerheart: Melee to Very Far bands, using your scene’s range settings and measured the way the system does.
  • Draw Steel: ability distances (melee, ranged, burst, aura, cube, line and wall “within”), counted in squares and converted to your scene’s units.
  • Crucible: weapon ranges and action minimum–maximum ranges, measured base-to-base like the system.
  • Any other system: a 📏 list in the Token HUD and on item sheets for items with a numeric range. Full support for more systems can be added on request.

Options
Dim squares behind walls (no line of effect), a colorblind-safe palette, fill or outline-only bands, badge size, and badges only for combatants. Labels and badges stay readable at any zoom.

Requirements
Foundry VTT v14. Optional: PF2e HUD.
