The Bunker of Shazsha is a full multi-room adventure written by DM Lair, with maps and Foundry content created by The MAD Cartographer. This module contains a complete adventure fully set up in Foundry with walls, lights, sounds and tiles. Journal entries provide full room descriptions, NPC characters and more.

Vilgarin is a rather small village that was built alongside a narrow river that runs directly into the ocean. It is comprised of a few houses with only a handful of inhabitants, as well as an underground bunker which used to belong to Shazsha, a female wizard. Shazsha lived in Vilgarin long before any of the present inhabitants were even born. Though she spent the vast majority of her time alone in the bunker, she would leave every week to visit the people of Vilgarin. They would offer her food and drink in exchange for the occasional magical secret or blessing. The bunker was open for others to enter; however, visitors could never venture farther than the first room, because the wizard would lock every door with arcane locks. Nobody knew what she was doing behind those doors, but no one dared to ask, out of both respect and fear.

One day, however, the villagers noticed that Shazsha stopped leaving her bunker entirely. After multiple weeks of no one seeing her, the mayor, Yaxosh Kilvarax, sent a small group of four adventurers to investigate and check up on her. Their return from the bunker took only a few minutes, but only one of the four individuals resurfaced: Ghajal, a male orc. He claimed they had managed to dispel the arcane locks, only to find a small army of undead waiting for them. Assuming Shazsha had been slain by the undead, the mayor ordered the bunker to be boarded up and closed off indefinitely.

As time went on, Ghajal began to exhibit magical properties. He suddenly started casting spells, and his knowledge of the arcane seemed to grow exponentially. When inquired by the other people of his town, he explained that he didn’t know why he had these powers, and that they must be a sign from the gods that they did the right thing closing off the bunker. Mayor Kilvarax currently does not believe a word he has said, instead believing that something happened in that bunker which caused these magical properties. He wants someone else, preferably an outsider who is unbiased on the issue, to descend into the bunker and discover what truly occurred all those months ago.
