Guide Looking for a macro that adds an existing item into actor(s) inventory
I've been googling and found a reddit post that comes close to what I'm looking for, but doesn't quite do the trick ( https://www.reddit.com/r/FoundryVTT/comments/kja76v/searching_for_macro_add_item_to_players_inventory/).
Both of the examples appear to actually create the item on-the-fly. I would like to use existing items instead. Can this be done?
Ultimately my goal is to have a trinket (consumable item) that uses DAE to add an existing item into players inventory (anyone within 20ft of the user). Right now I have the item set with the details that will use an action and target a creature within 20ft .. with uses of 1 per day. I tested that with a DAE effect that gives a attribute/skill bonus and it works. However, I want to use it to instead deposit an item to those players' inventory (and to then have that item destroyed if it's not used/consumed by the end of the current day). Is there a way to have a macro add the existing item? Or another way that's already implemented?
